Nimbus Disability Launches New NOS Supplier Portal to Catalyse Industry-Wide Accessibility

Nimbus Disability is introducing new functionality to their proprietary software, NOS (The Nimbus Operating System), which aims to embrace and catalyse a spirit of joint working within the accessibility and ticketing sectors.

NOS is already the "engine room" of accessibility for the UK’s most prominent venues. It is used daily by thousands of venue operators to manage Access Card listings and validate customer requirements through secure online tools. The new ‘Supplier Portal’ will allow organisations to showcase their services directly to these thousands of commercial users.

Martin Austin MBE, Managing Director of Nimbus Disability, said:

"I am incredibly proud to bring this new dimension of NOS to life. For years, our software has worked behind the scenes to power millions of visits from disabled people, but we have always known that true accessibility is a collective effort.

“This new supplier portal allows us to put a well-deserved spotlight on our truly amazing peers - specialist providers who offer the innovative solutions our partner organisations need.

“By opening up this ecosystem, we are moving away from duplication and toward a spirit of togetherness that benefits disabled people across the board."

The business case for joining the portal is centered on unparalleled visibility. With our unique commercial users accessing the system every single day to power the 15 million individual annual accessibility visits, listed suppliers gain direct access to a highly engaged, professional audience.

The portal is designed to bridge the gap between venue needs and specialist solutions. Examples of target providers include:

Joining the portal is free of charge, but is restricted to those with an accessibility-related solution that might benefit partner organisations. These partners include greenfield festivals, theatres, professional football clubs, theme parks, visitor attractions and more

Accessible by Design Supplier Directory

Caspian Turner, Director, of the digital accessibility consultancy Accessible by Design, is one of the first entrants to the supplier directory:

“We’re always thrilled to have been recommended by the team at Nimbus Disability. We know anyone working with them takes accessibility seriously.

“Accessibility is most effective when embedded throughout the customer journey and supported by collaboration between specialist partners. We’re proud to be part of the NOS supplier portal and to continue helping organisations improve their websites and digital experiences.”

Another early entrant is WelcoMe. Founder Gavin Neate says:

“We’re incredibly proud to be joining the NOS Supplier Portal and to stand alongside organisations like Accessible By Design and others, actively raising the bar for accessibility. Nimbus has long demonstrated that meaningful inclusion doesn’t happen in isolation — it’s built through trust, shared standards, and collaboration across the sector.”

“At WelcoMe, our focus is on helping organisations move from good intentions to confident delivery, ensuring disabled people are not just expected but genuinely prepared for. Being part of the NOS ecosystem allows us to connect with organisations at the moment they are ready to act, and to contribute to a more joined-up, people-centred approach to accessibility across venues, events, and visitor experiences.”

Joining the directory is completely free of charge and starts with a simple registration form found at www.accesscard.online/get-your-business-involved/
