Evidencing Disability
The session is for all staff involved in making decisions reliant on having customers being able to provide ‘proof of disability’. In the past we have trained Football Clubs, Theatres and other Live Music Venues and we see this being particularly relevant to organisations involved in ticketing purchases.
In the session, we will explore in detail the practicalities of what each of the commonly used forms of evidence mean in practice – to both you and your customers.
Topics include:
The Equality Act
Disability Living Allowance
Attendance Allowance
PIPs
Blue Badges
ESA
Severe Disability Premiums
Incapacity Benefit
Individual schemes
Examining a range of ticketing policies
We will also introduce you to our Access Card scheme which is rolling out across the UK. Organisations wishing to stay on after the session will be shown the unique online validation system.
The session will be run under Chatham House rules and its interactivity means that delegates can share their own experiences of what works, and what doesn’t work; allowing Nimbus to facilitate discussions and elaborate on the differences between good practice, bad practice and differentiate between what is and what is might not be legal duty.
