Nimbus and The Ticket Factory beat companies like Ticket Master to win the award best Ticketing / Tech Company.

The award was in recognition of the pioneering partnership with Midlands-based firm The Ticket Factory. Together they work to make accessing online ticket sales a unique reality for their disabled customers. This is all achieved through the Nimbus led venture: The CredAbility Access Card.

Winner: The Ticket Factory & CredAbility Access Card

For the development and implementation of a registration service that enables customers to link access requirements to their Ticket Factory account, opening up the ability to book access online. This initiative has been rolled out across the NEC Group brands, to include The Ticket Factory, Arena Birmingham and Resorts World Arena (formerly Genting Arena). Customers can register access requirements with Nimbus’ CredAbility Access Card scheme, gaining a unique registration number to input on their Ticket Factory account. If they choose, they can then upgrade to obtain the full CredAbility Card, which is accepted across the UK as proof of access requirements.

Suzanne Bull MBE, CEO of Attitude Is Everything, said:

“What we’re really celebrating is good customer service. Deaf and disabled people represent some of the UK’s most passionate music fans. Millions of us attend live music events, and millions more would like to. We are a significant part of the music community.”

“The winners represent some shining examples of how the live music business is responding to this demand,” added Bull. “I would like to congratulate all of them, and all of our nominees, not only for the brilliant work that they’ve been doing but also for the inspiration they can offer to others. The Outstanding Attitude Awards is proof that everyone in live music, from the biggest festival to the smallest venue can step up and make a change.”

Richard Howle, Director of Ticketing at the NEC Group, said:

“I am extremely proud of the work that The Ticket Factory does with The Access Cards to improve accessibility for ticket buyers with access needs and I am absolutely thrilled that this has been recognised.

Martin Austin, MD of Nimbus Disability, said:

“We’re thrilled to get this level of recognition from an organisation of and for disabled for whom we have so much respect.”

The work doesn’t stop there though. Martin went on:
